If you are just starting out in life or life is winding down for you or perhaps somewhere in the middle, apartment living may become your best choice. However, convenience apart, apartments are decorated to be ‘generic’. Once your furniture is moved in and you have placed your special pictures and table treasures, it still screams out ‘apartment’.

Another great reason to choose area rugs is so when you decide to move, they’ll come with you. Make sure it’s a rug which you enjoy and just not something you purchased just because it was on sale. You want it to reflect your personal style.

Also try not to mix too many patterns in a small space or it will look too cluttered.
